Skillogalee was established in 1970 with the first wines released in 1976. The 1978 dry Riesling won major trophies at the Adelaide Wine Show and the National Wine Show, putting Skillogalee firmly on the Australian winemaking map! The wines are produced exclusively from grapes grown on our own vineyards and styles include crisp dry whites (Riesling, gewürztraminer and chardonnay), a full flavored rosé, rich, full-bodied reds (Shiraz, cabernet sauvignon and blends) and some luscious fortified wines. Skillogalee is a boutique family-owned and operated winery located in the heart of the picturesque Clare Valley in South Australia. We offer Hand-crafted and world-class wines.

This venue features the first and still the best winery restaurant in the Valley. A range of comfortable, self-contained accommodation for visitors is also available. The venue offers two bedroom, self-contained cottage with one queen size bed and two singles set in secluded bushland with views over wooded hills and grazing. The cottage also has a separate toilet and bathroom with shower and bath, a small but well equipped kitchen, a spacious dining lounge area with TV/VCR and a radio/CD player. There is a deck outside with an outdoor setting and a good sized gas BBQ. This facility is ideal for a romantic or relaxing getaway in a peaceful setting, but also family friendly. The cottage was purpose built around ten years ago - it has reverse cycle air-conditioning in the main living area and in each of the bedrooms. There is a wood burning stove in the lounge and electric blankets on the beds to keep extra cosy in winter.

The garden is ideal for wedding ceremonies and receptions of all kinds, especially from late spring to autumn when the roses are in bloom. The Skillogalee Restaurant is available for private, exclusive functions in the evenings for a minimum of 10 people on request. We would recommend 70 people in the cottage, alternatively we can accommodate groups of 70 plus in a marquee on the Skillogalee grounds.
