Mullumbimby Civic Memorial Hall is newly refurbished and is situated 15 minutes drive north of Byron and 30 minutes from Tweed Heads. The Hall re-opened on September 19 2008 after a major refurbishment. The hall, originally built in 1929, has had a long and colourful history as a celebrated community gathering space in a town known for its eclectic and original culture. In its current incarnation, the Hall offers an immensely varied range of entertainment. The Mullumbimby Music Festival, the Byron Spirit Festival and many other community-based events utilise the Mullumbimby Civic Hall as their base.

A growing number of local and international touring musicians schedule the Hall as part of their tours, citing the professional facilities, as well as the passionate community, as drawcards. Artists such as Jon Cleary, Toni Childs, Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Harry Manx, Justin Townes Earle, Jeff Lang, The Whitlams, Vince Jones and Tex Perkins have all graced the Civic Hall stage. The Hall is now renowned for its diverse range of productions including theatre shows, feature films and documentary screenings, as well as playing host to a vast array of community events. The venue is available for hire for concerts, weddings, lectures, meetings, functions and visual art exhibitions.
