The Elephant & Castle Hotel has been situated on Mckillop Street since 1870 when a gentleman by the name of John Richards first acquired the license. The current front of the building was built in 1891 and is still seen today. The pub has had many licensees over the 100 years of operation, but one thing has stayed the same – the gentle family atmosphere.

When it comes to functions at the Elephant & Castle Hotel you’re the boss. We can cater for a large variety of different events across the Hotel. The hotel also caters for a variety of different functions options with an upstairs private room which holds 70 people for a cocktail party or 40 for a sit-down meal, or if your style is more relaxed try the Beer Garden with award winning designed Red Gum furniture surrounded by a hedge of crpyress pine, private bar, heating and TV monitors. Other options include the use of our back semi-private dining room.
