The Club’s original venue on Elizabeth Street opened in the late 1950’s as a meeting place - a venue for belonging, sharing experiences and continuing the Greek culture for new generations in a new country. The Hellenic Club is now proud to introduce its multi-faceted neo-classic Greek dining experience that is Alpha.We have a beautifully appointed Private Dining Room available for lunch and dinner bookings.

Alpha’s food store offers a broad selection of artisan Greek products featuring premium honeys, traditional pastas, beautiful preserves and regional olive oils. Freshly brewed Greek coffee and Will & Co Espresso are available all day to be enjoyed takeaway or with any one of our delicious pastries or traditional Greek cakes and biscuits. Alpha Restaurant welcomes you to its table, to join in the warmth and generosity of traditional and modern Greek cooking.

The restaurant is located in a historic Victorian building in the heart of Sydney’s CBD. Designed by DS17’s Paul Papadopoulos, the dining room nods to Greece’s glamorous islands with whitewashed walls, lamps shaped to resemble fishing nets and earthy hues. Friendly staff glide between tables, creating an atmosphere that is relaxed, welcoming and social.
